Request Forms Opens Soon
Open Friday, May 15-Monday May 25th at 11:59pm
This grant is being launched using funds raised in support of families who are facing access barriers related to recent federal enforcement activity in Minnesota. In future funding cycles, we plan to expand the criteria to include other types of systemic barriers.
If you qualify for the Community Care Grant but not under the specific focus of this pilot cycle, please email us at info@childbirthcollective.orgwith your name and email address. We will reach out to let you know when the next round of funding opens.
We See Your Work.
We recognize its significance, and we strive to minimize barriers to keep this process straightforward and respectful. We’re learning as we go! Self-employed perinatal professionals in Minnesota who have provided unpaid or deeply discounted support during the funding cycle.
Salaried or hourly professionals who are employed by larger perinatal organizations in Minnesota are also eligible if the services provided fell outside their typical job duties, were performed off the clock or through activities not organized by your employer. If you’re unsure, please reach out to us at info@childbirthcollective.org to discuss your unique situation.
Examples of perinatal professionals include but are not limited to: community and hospital based midwives, doulas, physicians, bodyworkers, physical or mental health therapists, lactation professional or anyone else working specifically with families who are pregnant, birthing, or postpartum. -
Because perinatal care can look very different from one person to another, there’s no single formula for how much to request. We encourage you to reflect on the scope of the support you provided, the time involved, and any financial strain you experienced. The grant is intended to help sustain pro bono or deeply discounted care—not fully replace compensation.
-
Each perinatal professional can submit a funding request for either $250, $500, $750 or $1,000 once per cycle with an annual maximum of $1,000 total.
So, the $1,000 annual max paired with a $1,000 max single grant means someone who receives a $1,000 grant early in the year would be ineligible for the rest of the year, while someone who receives $250 could still apply (and potentially receive) up to $750 more across remaining cycles. -
